26 years after the nationalization of Barada Metallic Industries Co. BRE reinvested in Real Estate in Syria in 1987 by acquiring a land which Baalbaki used to own before its nationalization by the government and developed an 8,000 sqm covered warehouse complex near Damascus Airport highway fifteen kilometers away from the center of Damascus . Today , Baalbaki's major focus in the real estate sector is on real estate investment which includes: - Developing industrial, commercial, and residential properties for rent either on a self-initiated basis or on a client-initiated tailor built-to-lease model -Aquiring lands as part of a land bank program In recent years, Baalbaki has also been engaged in development of 'for sale projects'.
